Waiting...
I welcomed every challange you had to offer
I tackled every problem, surrpassed every fear
I formed alliances with enemies and declared war upon friends
I slept through the day and walked through the night
I wrote tales concerning memories of others
I spoke for the weak and opposed the strong
I fell in love with deathlike creatures and hated life
I cleansed my soul through fire and sipped water from the fountain of knowledge
I pleased the wishes of every Lord I met
I visited the beyonders and played games with their sons
I conquered life and earned death
I, I, I, I...
I did it all for them, and got nothing in return
am I just another human being tossed in the sea of doubt?
I lived like a lion, I'll die like a sheep.
I was raised as a shepherd, I matured as a wolf.
Tasted the forbidden wine
sung songs to holy men
saints of past times
heard the voices of the dead
simplified the meanings of life
to what purpose?
In solitude I placed my fortress
In solitude I stand and whisper reason to the restless
In solitude I found myself and the holy fire
In solitude reason seemed distant, mediocre
In solitude I stand and confirm my presence
I ask nothing,
I dare no one,
I seek nothing,
I await, startled
observing the coming of the Elders.
